Day Two
Ians good start quickly nose dived with a difficult draw on day two, pegged on
the rock hard Boulders section he done well to scrape together
a net of small Roach in a very tight section. Ewan was also
pegged on the boulders and managed to snare a proper skimmer
and odd small Roach to win the section. David fished well
to take a section 3rd, whilst Mike Shaw and Darrin were pegged
on the Birches and finished 4th and 7th in section respectively.

Day Three
With Ewan lying on 5 points, David and Mike on 7 points there was a good chance
of Monklands anglers finishing in the main frame. Ewan drew
on the little point at Glenlaggan, not a great draw but a
fair section. Despite feeling very ill and not being able
to cast more than 60 yards, Ewan winkled out Roach and finished
2nd in section. Mike had drawn the shale bank on a peg that
produced just 11oz the day before and wasn't really in a
position to compete with Twin Bridges or Robin Hoods. Mike
scraped a few small skimmers for best weight on the shale
bank with 3lb 9oz and 3rd in section. David was pegged on
the big point at Glenlaggan and finished 5th in section,
with Ian and Darrin not weighing in to return 9 points each.
