Club
member Eric Morriss wins the firt Ayrstrike qualifier at
Springwater Fishery, Ayr.
Club member Ewan Weed wins the second Ayrstrike qualifier held at Broom Fishery,
Annan.
Club member Mike Shaw sets a new 3 hour match record on Carlisle water Crofton
Lake. Mike landed 46lb 15oz of Bream, Skimmers, Carp, Tench
and Roach to pole fished Pellet.
The
SFCA Federation Cup was this year fished on the Broom Fisheries
complex near Annan in South West Scotland.
The match was spread over 3 lakes - Canal, Square and Large Carp. On the Canal
it was hard gong for most of the competitors, Bill Hamilton
found plenty of bits and put together a 5lb winning weight.
Ewan drew a corner peg on the square and made no mistakes
landing a match winning 20lb 6oz of mainly Carp.
Over
on the Large Carp pond it was also a real struggle for
most competitors, Colin Hart put together 5lb 3oz of fish
to win the section.
Teamwise, it was Monklands who took the honours followed closely by JB Angling.
