member Eric Morriss wins the firt Ayrstrike qualifier at
Springwater Fishery, Ayr.
Club member Ewan Weed wins the second Ayrstrike qualifier held at Broom Fishery,
Annan.
Club member Mike Shaw sets a new 3 hour match record on Carlisle water Crofton
Lake. Mike landed 46lb 15oz of Bream, Skimmers, Carp, Tench
and Roach to pole fished Pellet.
MONKLANDS
were fortunate to have the home draw for the first round
of the Angling Times Supercup 2008 Competition. The venue
was to be Loch Ken in South West Scotland, the tie was
to be fished against Central Scotland AC and Magiscroft
AC.
A
series of opens were held where Team Captain (Ian Whitson)
was able to assess the squad and select a team of 8 anglers
to fish the match, the 8 selected were:

match was fished in good spirits and the home team managed
